New York, NY 2010 --- The Medical Center for Female Sexuality (MCFS) has been helping women solve problems with sexual dysfunction and dissatisfaction with an approach that takes the physical as well as psychological issues into account. Now the Center, which has been operating in Westchester County, expands its practice with a new office on Park Avenue and 40th Street in Manhattan and a newly designed and enhanced website: www.CenterforFemaleSexuality.com
As many as four in ten women experience female sexuality problems, but less than half --- only 18% -- seek help. Sexual dysfunction and dissatisfaction have significant impact on the quality of women’s lives and relationships. Sexual dysfunction affects a wide range of women from newlyweds and new moms to single women or empty nesters.
According to Bat Sheva Marcus, Ph.D., the clinical director of MCFS, a licensed social worker who holds a Master’s degree in public health and a Doctorate in human sexuality, “It’s not in your head. There are hormonal and physical changes that can keep a woman from enjoying sex. We don’t believe you have to live without a fulfilling sex life just because you’ve had a baby, passed through menopause or grown up with doubts about sex. Despite all those factors, you can – and should --enjoy your sex life.”
The Medical Center For Female Sexuality focuses on the physical and emotional causes that underlie female sexual dysfunction. Its integrated approach to female sexual dysfunction will help more women have a better chance of achieving a passionate and pain-free sex life. While the Medical Center for Female Sexuality treats women who are able to visit its offices, it also serves women around the country with education and information on sexual conditions, practical advice, case studies and possible treatments, through its newly launched website www.CenterForFemaleSexuality.com
MCFS clinical and medical staff speak frequently on the topic of integrated treatment protocols for female sexual dysfunction at professional conferences, grand rounds and community events focused on women’s health and wellness.
