Bat Sheva Marcus, Ph.D., clinical director of The Medical Center for Female Sexuality, is a licensed social worker with a Master’s degree in public health and a doctorate in human sexuality. Along with her medical colleagues at the Center, Dr. Marcus assesses the physical and psychological causes of a woman’s sexual issues. She diagnoses and treats hundreds of women seeking to improve their sexual experience.

Dr. Marcus sums up the common reaction to female sexual dysfunction by saying, “It’s not in your head. There are hormonal and physical changes that can keep a woman from enjoying sex. We don’t believe you have to live without a fulfilling sex life just because you’ve had a baby, passed through menopause or grown up with doubts about sex.
