Our Women’s Sexual Health Center is a specialty medical practice in existence nearly 11 years. The reason women are willing to either travel to MCFS or arrange for a phone consult is because they’ve already been to their local gynecologist to discuss low desire, pain during intercourse, orgasm issues, psas or other matters related to female sexual dysfunction; and they have not been helped.
Either a doctor dismisses the conditions as unimportant (“Just relax, have a glass of wine”), cannot find anything “wrong,” (“Everything’s fine. It’s just what women your age go through.”), or they simply have not developed the skills and experience necessary to successfully treat these problems (“I don’t see anything.”)
In fact, many of our patients are sent to us by their own OB/GYN.
While we cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions over the phone, our Women’s Sexual Health Center does have three helpful programs for people who contact us from out of our local area.
The MCFS out-of-town protocol allows us to see out of town patients in an efficient and productive manner. You must call to review your situation prior to scheduling an appointment at our Women’s Sexual Health Center.
Out of Town Treatment of Vaginismus
Out of Town Treatment of Low Desire/Arousal/Orgasm
Out of Town Treatment of Painful Intercourse
Consider a phone consultation with our clinicians who will direct you and your local physician to the treatment options we consider most likely to help you. This is not a diagnosis; rather a phone consultation to hear about your psychosexual history and your condition and to suggest what has worked for others like you. Read what women say about our phone consultation service.

Continue your search for a practitioner in your local area who can help. Here is the website for the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual health so you may seek out FSD experts who practice nearby: http://www.isswsh.org.
If you would like more information about any of these treatment programs, please call our Women’s Sexual Health Center at (914) 328-3700.
