Human Sexuality

Finally, we are starting to understand the field of human sexuality!

Ironically, despite the fact that human sexuality is one of the central elements to a healthy and happy life, very little attention has been paid to it in past generations.

People just assumed that human sexuality “took care of itself.” Sex was "natural" – kind of like breathing, and so we didn’t need to study it, analyze it, work at it or find solutions to problems.

The analogy is better than you might think.

Breathing is natural and for many people comes without any issues. But for many people breathing is complicated, something that needs to be taught, assisted and addressed medically.

And so it is. Both female human sexuality and male human sexuality are independent fields which need to be studied and understood and, when appropriate, treated.

Alfred Kinsey started the process 100 years ago when he catalogued and analyzed the sex lives of thousands. In his books:

He presented the broad range of normative sexual behavior for the first time. It was a watershed moment in the field of human sexuality and the field has never been the same.

We at the center are committed to continuing the work that has been started on understanding human sexuality.

We believe that both male sexuality and female sexuality is so important in creating and maintaining healthy lives and relationships.

The only way we can really help people with their problems is when we can understand the roots of the issue, both and physiological and psychological, and address them in an educated, informed comprehensive way.

Male sexual dysfunction.
Female sexual dysfunction.
