Women's Sexual Health Center

The Medical Center for Female Sexuality is committed to helping women solve their sexual health challenges with compassionate and experienced staff trained specifically in female sexual health. We believe in a multifaceted approach to resolving problems that have evolved recently, or those that have lingered for years.

Women who come to the sexual health Center report having questions and worries like these:

• Why can't I have orgasms like I used to?
• I don't understand why my desire for sex has decreased so much.
• Why is intercourse painful?
• I cannot get anything into my vagina­- not a penis - not a tampon - and I'm worried about it !
• I have been wondering how I can improve my interest in sex, and my sexual experiences, without insulting my husband.
• I am interested in sex but my body doesn't seem to respond by becoming aroused or lubricated.
• I've never experienced the joy of sex and don't believe there is a solution to my particular problems.
• I have tried to talk to my gynecologist about my sexual intercourse problems but he said it's stress and all in my head.
• I've been talking to a sex therapist for years but I've seen little improvement.
• I've been thinking about this for more than two years but I didn't know there was anything I could do about my sexual problems.

You may be surprised how quickly some of these obstacles to sexual health and satisfaction can be removed and how easily sex can become a rewarding part of life for you and your partner.

When you come to The Medical Center for Female Sexuality, a uniquely innovative and compassionate sexual health center for women, you will have a psychosexual evaluation and history, and you'll be seen by a nurse practitioner or a physician's assistant. After this, and after any additional testing, you will be prescribed appropriate treatments which may combine physical therapy, medication and counseling.
